Open Question: Does anyone one of studies disproving ‘alt. health treatments’ like “aromatherapy”?
Links to actual peer reviewed medical journals on the topic would be helpful.
I am currently debating proponents of aromatherapy, reflexology, homeopathy, etc. who are claiming that it is all “scientific” and cures diseases. I know it isn’t. However up until this point I’ve mainly debated Christian Creationists not New Age health nuts. So if anyone has experience in debating people on these topics, please give me me pointers.
@ That Damned Heathen.
I don’t doubt that essential oils smell nice or can help people relax. I am talking about people claiming that smelling essential oils cure disease.

Open Question: Rate my rain dance team!?
Right now, i’m trying to make a rain dance team without relying on Kyogre’s Drizzle ability. Here it goes:
Articuno w/ Damp Rock – U-turn, Rain dance, Ice Beam, Roost – Pressure – Calm nature
Lead pokemon that sets up RD. U-turn is for checking other pokemon leads. Ice Beam for extra power, Roost for recovery. Damp Rock for 8 turns of RD
Kabutops – Swords Dance, Waterfall, Stone Edge, X-Scissor – Swift Swim – Adamant
Swords Dance to boost his attack. Waterfall and Stone Edge for STAB, X-Scissor for coverage. Swift Swim is for a Speed boost in the rain.
Kingdra – Dragon Dance, Waterfall, Ice Beam, Outrage – Swift Swim – Lonely
Dragon Dance to boost Speed and Attack to abuse STAB Waterfall and Outrage. Ice Beam is for hitting Dragonite hard. Speed boost in the rain thanks to Swift Swim. I chose a Lonely nature over Adamant so Kingdra won’t be hitting a weaker Ice Beam
Bronzong w/ Damp Rock – Explosion, Rain Dance, Earthquake, Stealth Rock – Levitate – Impish
My other Rain Dancer. Explosion and Earthquake for some offense. Stealth Rock is for entry hazards.
I chose Impish nature for more defense.
Blissey – Wish, Seismic Toss, Thunder Wave, Aromatherapy – Natural Cure – Bold
My cleric. Aromatherapy is for opponents who try to status my attackers. Thunder Wave is to slow down opponents. Useful when RD isn’t there, since my attackers are slow. Seismic Toss is to dish out damage. Wish is for healing my team who don’t have recovery. Bold nature so i can at least boost her screwed-up defense.
Suicune – Calm Mind, Surf, Ice Beam, Roar – Pressure – Timid
Special Attacker. Calm Mind to boost my Special stats, then abuse my special attacks. Roar is for pokemon who try to abuse stat boosters. Timid nature for more Speed.
I considered Gyarados with Dragon Dance and Taunt to prevent stat-boosters and entry-hazard Pokemon from setting up. Milotic also who can abuse the rain with STAB Surf and at the same time be a good wall because of her awesome Sp. Def. and a boosted Def. through her Marvel Scale ability. But it’s hard for me to find them a slot.

Open Question: Therapeutic techniques to control cravings in addicts who have been addicted to drugs and alcohol?
I have to do a paper on Therapeutic techniques to control cravings in those who have been addicted to drugs and alcohol. So far I have come up with just a couple approaches they could use such as guided imagery, deep breathing, music and aromatherapy but I am having difficulty coming up with other easy ways to control their cravings..therapeutically..not medically. Thanks!!
